Jeonju Dano
- May 5th by the lunar calendar, Dano is also called Suritnal or Cheonjungjeol.
- Dano means ‘Choo’, which is the first day of horse in May. On Dano day, a lot of people come together in Deokjin Park to enjoy a variety of traditional events, such as hair-washing with water infused with sweet flags, traditional swinging, etc. People celebrate this day to wish for happiness, health and prosperity. Moreover, the Dano Festival also provides various traditional folk arts and events that have been forgotten by young generation, making them understand it even better through experiencing.
