Jeonju International Film Festival became the cradle of Korean independent & alternative movies: This year, Jeonju International Film Festival set the enhancement and support of Korean movie as the major goal. Accordingly, Jeonju cinema project (JCP) selected all 3 works for investment as Korean movies. It was the wish of Jeonju International Film Festival for Korean independent movie to get over the slump. Moreover, the Jeonju project market (JPM) also reformed its system on a large scale to extend the support. In order to provide more chances to the independent and alternative movies, award section has been enlarged, too.

Jeonju International Film Festival holds every events in the “Street of movie.” It is expected that more people will come to Jeonju during Jeonju International Film Festival, so we are trying to provide as many seat as possible. Participants of the festival will be able to meet well-known movie people and communicate with them.
